Kevin Durant Playoff Scoring Drills

The following collection of drills have been put together by Tim Springer. They are based on the shots Kevin Durant has successfully taken in this year’s NBA Playoffs. Check out these excellent drills making use of pick & rolls, cuts, screens and penetration.

Durant flashes to the top of the key for a catch into the pick & roll. He takes one dribble into the screen (#) and cuts back with a crossover into a 3 point jump shot.[/learn_more]

The Thunder set alot of down screens for Durant to flash to the high post for a catch & shoot. They primarily set the screen on the right side of the court. However, do the drill to both sides of the court.[/learn_more]

Durant and a post player will run horns screens for the point guard. The guard comes off opposite of Durant. The post then sets a cross screen for Durant to post up on the high post. Durant uses a drop step dribble into an attack to the basket.

Drill: Set the screen on the first chair and come off the second chair into a post-up. Use a drop step into an attack to the basket like Durant.[/learn_more]
