It’s been a while… actually, it’s been five years since I last posted here on Layups.net. A lot has happened in that time — on the courts, in life, and in the game of basketball itself. But one thing hasn’t changed: my love for this sport and the joy I get from sharing it with all of you.

Over the years, I’ve missed the conversations, the exchange of ideas, and the passion that this community has always had. I’ve missed hearing from players who just learned their first crossover, from coaches who found a new drill that fired up their team, and from parents who were beaming because they found the right way to support their kids. This blog has always been more than just articles and tips — it’s been a meeting point for people who share the same heartbeat for the game.

Now, I’m ready to bring that heartbeat back to life.

In the coming weeks, you can expect fresh articles, updated training content, and plenty of motivation to keep you inspired. I’ll be diving deep into:

  • Practical drills you can use right away
  • Tips for coaches to keep teams focused and united
  • Advice for parents who want to help without adding pressure
  • Insights into player development and mental strength

I’m also working on a few website modifications to make Layups.net even better. While that’s happening, you might notice that some areas still look a bit unsorted, but don’t worry, the content will keep coming, and things will get more polished over time.

And most importantly: I want to hear from YOU.

Whether you’ve been following Layups.com from day one or you just found me now, you’re part of this comeback. Your comments, questions, and stories are what make this space special. Coaches, players, parents … let’s reconnect, share ideas, and push each other to grow.

You can also find me on Facebook at, where I’ll be sharing updates from the blog to keep the community spirit alive.

So, dust off those sneakers, bring your energy, and let’s get the conversation going again.

It feels great to be back. And I can’t wait to see familiar names and meet new ones in the process.

Here’s to the next chapter — together.
